Relationship Manager (Sales) | Neuberger Berman
The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Neuberger Berman, located in London or Copenhagen. Neuberger Berman, founded in 1939, is an employee-owned investment manager dedicated to delivering compelling investment results for clients over the long term, driven by deep fundamental research and continuous innovation. This Relationship Manager role is crucial for expanding the firm’s presence in the Nordics and Baltics, contributing significantly to future growth by servicing a broad range of intermediary clients with a full suite of public and private investment capabilities.

• Team: Nordic Client Coverage Team within the Intermediary team
• Mission: To raise funds and manage relationships with intermediary clients across the Nordics and Baltics for Neuberger Berman’s full product suite.
• Tech Stack: Salesforce (or similar CRM system)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Fundraising & Relationship Management: Lead fundraising efforts and manage relationships with both existing and prospective intermediary clients across the region.
• Client Solutions Delivery: Liaise and collaborate with internal teams such as Portfolio Management, Client Service, Marketing, and Compliance for client deliverables.
• Business Development: Initiate outbound sales calls, organize client meetings, and prepare new business sales presentations to develop the client base.
• Market Strategy & Research: Conduct market research and assist the team with client analysis to develop appropriate business strategies for the Nordics and Baltics.
• Client Lifecycle Management: Maintain the CRM system, including database management and pipeline activity, while diligently servicing existing client accounts.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Degree in economics, management, or finance.
• Experience: At least 7+ years in an asset raising role within the Asset Management industry.
• Skills: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, self-starter, strongly numerate with good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Fluency in Swedish, Finnish, or Danish; international experience; must be available and flexible to travel extensively across the Nordics & Baltics.
