Registered Nurse (RN) – New Graduate | Select Specialty Hospital

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services. The hospital specializes in caring for chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery, supporting them during some of the most vulnerable and challenging moments of their lives. As a New Graduate Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal and central role in delivering compassionate, excellent treatment every step of the way, helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes through dedicated patient care.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care Planning: Assure the implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care in collaboration with the physician and your dedicated preceptor, ensuring patients receive targeted treatment.
• Patient Assessment: Initiate and maintain an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of patients and their families to understand their comprehensive situation.
• Care Plan Development: Interpret assessment data and information to develop comprehensive nursing care plans, which include problem identification, nursing diagnoses, nursing orders, approaches, interventions, short/long-term goals, and discharge planning tailored to each patient.
• Team Collaboration: Actively participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals, contributing to holistic patient recovery.
• Documentation: Ensure that all documentation in the medical record is complete, factual, accurate, and timely, adhering to the highest standards of record-keeping for patient safety and continuity of care.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An Early Career Registered Nurse who is a graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing.
• Experience: Requires a valid State RN License upon start date and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire. Applicants may apply before being licensed but must have the license by the start date.
• Skills: Systematic Patient Assessment, Comprehensive Care Plan Development, Precise Clinical Documentation, and Active Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration.
• Other Requirements: Must have flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the extensive new graduate orientation program.
