Registered Nurse (RN) – New Graduate | Select Medical
The Tone:
This is an early career Registered Nurse position at Select Medical, located in West Nashville. Select Specialty Hospital – Nashville West operates as a critical illness recovery hospital, providing specialized inpatient post-ICU services for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. In this role, the Registered Nurse plays a vital part in delivering compassionate and excellent treatment, supporting patients through some of the most vulnerable and painful moments of their lives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care Plan Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians and preceptors to assure the implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of the patient care plan.
• Patient Needs Assessment: Initiate an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of patients and their families.
• Nursing Care Plan Development: Interpret assessment data to develop a comprehensive nursing care plan, including problem identification, diagnoses, orders, interventions, goals, and discharge planning.
• Interdisciplinary Team Participation: Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
• Medical Record Documentation: Assure that all documents in the medical record are complete, factual, accurate, and timely.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program; Early Career; Domain: Nursing.
• Experience: New graduate; no prior RN experience required, as this role is designed for new graduates. Must obtain a valid State RN License upon start date.
• Skills: Valid State RN License (upon start date); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire; Flexibility to accommodate program scheduling requirements.
