Job Description: Registered Nurse – Acute Care
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Acute Care at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
• Schedule: 3, 12-hour shifts
• Unit Type: Acute Care units are described as fast-paced with high acuity patients, fostering an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and team member development.
• Patient Population: The specific patient populations for this unit include Nephrology, Hepatology, Endocrinology, Geriatrics, Gastrointestinal, and Psychiatric patients.
• Patient Ratios: The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5.
• Number of Beds: The unit has 24 beds.

Required Qualifications:
• Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
• Experience:
• 1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the U.S.
• 3+ years of acute care/bedside experience in a hospital setting.
• Licensure/Certification:
• RN – Registered Nurse.
• BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire).
