The TL;DR

• Type: Hourly Full-Time
• Location: A MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries facility
• Pay: $15.50 hourly + Up to $250/month bonus
• Team: Recycling & Warehouse – Mills team
• Mission: Efficiently manages and processes donations and goods to support the organization’s mission of “Changing Lives Through the Power of Work!”

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Safely unload inbound shipments and move products to designated areas. Ensure both inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage, promptly reporting any quality variances. Efficiently move products from staging and storage areas into trailers.
• Process & Sort Goods: Carefully handle all donations and purchased goods, sorting them into appropriate categories such as sales floor, seasonal, online sales, salvage, and trash, following established guidelines.
• Prepare & Fulfill Shipments: Pull and prepare specific products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type are loaded and shipped. Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
• Operate & Maintain Equipment: Safely and appropriately use machinery to tip or compact designated products for sale or recycling. Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required, maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Maintain Inventory & Standards: Keep appropriate records and reports to ensure tight inventory control and security. Maintain high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily, and foster positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.

The Must-Haves
• Background: No degree is required for this position.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse work population, communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management, and handle all donations with consistent care and respect.
• Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage various types of goods and inventory; necessary math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division for accurate record-keeping and processing.
• Bonus: A High School Diploma or GED is preferred for candidates seeking this role.
