Receptionist/Data Entry | Seabury Resources for Aging
The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Seabury Resources for Aging, located in Washington, DC. Seabury is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults by providing personalized, affordable services and housing options. This role is crucial as the primary point of contact for all visitors and calls, ensuring a welcoming environment and accurate client data. You will directly support the organization’s mission to help older adults live with independence and dignity as a trusted community leader in aging services.

• Mission: Serve as the primary point of contact for all visitors and incoming telephone calls and ensure accurate, timely data entry into client management systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Front Desk & Visitor Services: Manage the front desk and waiting area, greet all visitors, and enforce building security protocols for sign-ins.
• Telephone & Communication: Answer, screen, and manage all incoming calls and voicemails promptly and professionally, forwarding to appropriate staff.
• Data Entry & Records: Accurately enter new and update existing client information into the CSTARS database, ensuring timely and error-free submissions.
• Client Engagement: Conduct socialization calls with participants and meticulously document all outcomes and interactions in the client database.
• General Office Support: Distribute incoming mail and deliveries, perform photocopying and faxing, and serve as a backup driver for client transportation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma with at least two years of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role; must be sensitive to the needs of older adults.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of database or data management experience; valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to safely operate a passenger van.
• Skills: Excellent computer skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication; strong attention to detail for accurate data entry.
• Bonus: An A.A. degree is preferred.
