You’ll spend most of your shift on your feet, with scheduling flexibility across mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight shifts to meet store needs. Additionally, you’ll provide friendly and professional assistance to customers and teammates whenever needed.

Your Day at Lowe’s

A typical day involves ensuring shelves are well-stocked and backrooms are organized by efficiently unloading freight, moving products to the sales floor, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. You may also assist customers with locating or loading products. Most shifts are physically active, and scheduling may include morning, evening, or overnight hours based on store needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
• Merchandise Stocking: Stock merchandise through unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
• Store Operations Support: Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock prep, and safely using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Environment Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean environment by following proper procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and general housekeeping.
• Equipment Operation: Operate various store equipment, including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed.
• Team Collaboration: Pitch in as a team player to complete other assigned tasks and support overall store goals.

Additional Responsibilities for Pro Fulfillment Stores:

• Order Fulfillment: Use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders.
• Order Loading: Load delivery orders, ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices.
• Order Management: Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues.
• Customer Communication: Proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction.
• Best Practices: Execute Delivery Readiness best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 months experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment.
• 6 months experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.

Travel Requirements

This role does not require regular travel, but occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training sessions, or to support nearby stores.

Working Conditions

Environmental factors can vary by location. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions, with potential exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Exposure to constant or intermittent noises, as well as moving or shaking objects and equipment, is also possible.

Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must adhere to guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when required. Powered equipment should be used as needed, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
