Job Summary
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
We are thrilled to present current college students with an immersive experience through our Ready-Mix Internship Development Program (IDP). This 10-week program, commencing in May of each calendar year, is specifically designed to provide participants with hands-on experience and a deep understanding of our operations within the Ready-Mix division.
As an IDP participant, you will gain exposure to various critical areas, including:
- Cement Manufacturing
- Process Improvements
- Quality and Reliability
- Equipment Maintenance
- Production Process
- Data Management
Job Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
As a Cemex USA intern, your summer will be filled with invaluable opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow. Your main responsibilities will include:

Qualifications
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking students who are eager to explore the world of end-to-end Ready-Mix operations and are keen to maximize this exceptional learning opportunity. Ideal candidates will possess:
- Educational Foundation: Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in:
- Concrete Industry Management (CIM)
- Construction Science Management/Construction Management
- Business Admin/Business Management
- Mechanical Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Or a related field (open to more degrees)
With at least junior year standing.
- Academic Performance: A GPA of 2.5 or above, with a strong preference for those with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Communication Skills: Strong analytical and communication abilities, with the capability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Previous experience from individuals who share our passion for the industry and have gained valuable insights through internships, co-op programs, or university projects.
- Team Collaboration: Enjoyment of both independent work and collaborative teamwork.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
This internship is designed to help you develop crucial knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to the Ready-Mix industry and corporate environment. Through project-based work and mentorship, you will enhance your technical understanding, problem-solving capabilities, and professional acumen.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, on-site internship with a 40-hour work week, typically Monday through Friday. Expect a dynamic environment that includes a mix of office work and fieldwork, where you’ll be exposed to varying environmental conditions, including outdoor settings.
