Job Description:

The University of Utah is seeking Quest Interns to support the Quest Academic Learning Community for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Quest program offers first-time students small academic seminars, social and academic events, community service projects, and on-campus study spaces.

Type: Temporary, Part-Time (Non Benefited Staff / Student)
Hours: 10 hours per week
Shift: Day, with one evening per week required (Monday-Thursday)
Pay Rate: $18/hour – $20/hour
Start Date: August 2025
End Date: May 2026 (with academic breaks off)
Open To: All University of Utah students

Responsibilities:

Quest Interns will be assigned to one of three specific areas:

1. Social Media and Communications: Design and implement social media calendars, create media to promote Quest initiatives, and engage the Quest community.
2. Event Planning and Management: Plan, organize, and execute Quest program events (social, service, and academic).
3. Data Analyst: Assist in various aspects of data analysis for Quest.

General Responsibilities:

• 3 hours/week: Hosting/peer mentoring
• 2 hours/week: Meeting with Undergraduate Studies partners and Quest Interns
• 5 hours/week: Work supporting Quest in assigned internship area
• Support students, faculty, and partners within the Quest program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current University of Utah student
• Proven ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work successfully under pressure
• Being thorough and accurate in completing tasks

Preferences:

• Previous experience in your desired internship area.
