Job Title: 2026 Summer Intern – Quantitative Trading

Overview:
The trading group at GTS is seeking 2026 summer interns to engage in a variety of projects within the quantitative trading space. This program is designed as an excellent preparation for individuals aspiring to graduate positions in quant trading. Interns will work directly with senior traders, having a strong influence on their project’s direction. They will gain direct insight into trading desk operations, learn how traders evaluate opportunities, and see their work directly impact group activities and revenue generation. The company stresses that while an interest in trading is important, a background in finance is not strictly necessary, as they can teach the necessary financial knowledge if candidates possess the core quantitative skills.

Responsibilities:
• Work on interesting quantitative projects that support production trading strategies.
Learn how to identify, evaluate, and monetize trading opportunities.
• Gain exposure to industry-leading trading systems and tactics.
Work closely with traders to implement the results of your research and analysis.

Projects May Include:
• Building analytics tools to assist traders in making real-time trading decisions.
• Analyzing historical trade data to draw insights and inform trading strategies.
• Designing and testing quantitative models for new strategy development.

Qualifications:
Education: B.S./M.S. from a leading university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., math, physics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or economics) with a GPA over 3.6/4.0.
Graduation Year: Class of 2027 or December 2026.
Quantitative Skills: Deep understanding and ability in mathematics and statistics.
Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in Python.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to express complex concepts simply.
Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Interests: Demonstrated interest in strategic and competitive games.

Compensation:
In accordance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the weekly salary range for this role is $1,400 to $2,200. This weekly salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
