Quality Engineering Intern | Flex
The Tone:
This is a Summer 2024 internship at Flex, located in Milpitas, CA. Flex serves as a diversified manufacturing partner, assisting market-leading brands in designing, building, and delivering innovative products that enhance the world. • Team: Reports to Business Compliance, Sr. Manager, assisting the Quality Team.
• Mission: To support projects impacting yields and performance while enhancing Quality Systems, Suppliers, Auditing, Manufacturing, Mass Production, and NPI processes.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Involvement: Engage with diverse Quality areas including Supplier Quality, Material Review Board (MRB), Quality Systems, Manufacturing Quality Engineering, and New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Analysis: Analyze data and review process flow procedures to identify areas for improvement.
• Reporting: Research and generate various reports and procedures as required by the Quality Team.
• Collaboration: Partner with Engineering Teams to address Quality issues related to suppliers and products, auditing results, and overall Key Performance Indicator (KPI) improvement.
• Support: Attend team meetings and provide assistance with project work as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level student currently pursuing a BS degree in Industrial Engineering or a related major.
• Experience: Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited university with a 3.0 minimum GPA, available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for a 10-12 week Summer assignment.
• Skills: Required coursework in Risk Analysis and Statistics; highly collaborative, creative, and possessing excellent communication and leadership skills; native-level English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Bonus: Previous Quality related internship experience.
