Purchasing Apprentice | Stellantis

The Tone:
This is an apprenticeship at Stellantis, focusing on the Purchasing Department. The Purchasing Department defines and conducts the global purchasing policy for goods and services across Stellantis’ automotive activities. This role is crucial as it acts as a primary interface between the Group and its extensive network of suppliers, ensuring the efficient acquisition and management of necessary components and services for vehicle production.

• Team: Integrated into a team of buyers in charge of Operational Purchasing.
• Mission: To develop technical and behavioral skills while actively participating in the continuous improvement of supplies, market consultations for new vehicle parts, and administrative management of purchasing documents.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Improve supplies: Negotiate economic proposals with suppliers during the series production phase and negotiate annual productivity targets for the assigned purchasing family.
• Monitor performance: Track supplier performance indicators and implement targeted actions in cases of deviation from established standards.
• Manage transactions: Process investment requests, specific tooling orders, parts orders, and related amendments using the SAP system.
• Consult markets: Negotiate and analyze supplier offers for parts designated for new vehicles, synthesizing technical, quality, logistics, and industrial aspects in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate decisions: Propose supplier choices based on comprehensive analysis and support the contractualization process for selected suppliers.
