Job Description: Public Relations Internship Program

This internship program at Max Borges Agency is designed to provide interns with practical, real-world public relations experience, specifically focusing on global and national consumer goods and consumer tech brands. Interns will have the opportunity to both assist with ongoing projects and take the lead on their own initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Media & Influencer Engagement:
• Research and compile lists of relevant media and influencer contacts.
• Draft press releases and media pitches.
• Actively pitch media and influencers to secure coverage and build lasting relationships.
• Communicate directly with media and influencers.
Client Support & Research:
• Assist on multiple client accounts across the agency.
• Conduct and compile thorough research for competitive analysis, campaign proposals, and new business proposals.
• Develop a basic understanding of client information, including product details, key customers, and competitors in the marketplace.
Agency Participation:
• Participate actively in agency meetings and brainstorming sessions.
• Attend agency meetings/brainstorms.
Project Leadership:
• Lead individual projects, such as building media/influencer lists and drafting/distributing pitches.

Reporting Structure:

Interns will report directly to an agency mentor, who is a senior-level PR professional with extensive experience in the field.

Requirements:

Educational/Experiential Background:
• Basic understanding of public relations principles (prior experience or internships in PR are considered a significant plus).
• A strong interest in public relations, communications, technology or consumer electronics, and consumer goods is essential.
Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Must possess the ability to multitask effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in group settings.
Availability:
• Commitment of 24 hours per week, ideally structured as three 8-hour days (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday).
• Availability for the entire internship period: September 5, 2025, to December 5, 2025.
