Summer PR Intern | Anderson Group Public Relations
The Tone:
This is a non-paid internship at Anderson Group Public Relations, located in Los Angeles, CA. Anderson Group Public Relations is a world-renowned firm with 30 employees across Los Angeles and New York, specializing in diverse areas from television and film to fashion, corporate, sports, and crisis management. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, supporting the development and execution of public relations strategies, assisting with content creation, and helping to maintain positive media and community relationships within a professional environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Engagement: Work directly with teams of Publicists to gain hands-on experience in the Los Angeles PR scene.
• Business Development: Assist with new business development and outreach, including identifying and researching potential new clients and drafting email outreach.
• Media Monitoring: Track client press coverage, pull media clips, and conduct industry-related research for online and print publications.
• Content Creation: Draft pitches, client memos, and press opportunities, while also researching and pitching clients to A-list events.
• Digital Asset Management: Update and maintain digital press kits and utilize social media platforms to identify rising influencers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student or entry-level professional with a strong interest in public relations and a desire to pursue a career in the field, seeking hands-on experience in media relations, communication, and marketing.
• Experience: Ability to commit 1-4 days a week for at least 2 months, working 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on-site in the Melrose office. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, handling a fast-paced environment and taking direction well.
• Skills: Strong writing, editing, communication, research, and organizational skills. Proactive and resourceful. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Bonus: Love dogs, as the office has several small dogs.
