Public Policy Real Experience Program (VZ PREP)
VZ PREP is a 10-week internship program that provides a real-world experience in the field of Public Policy. You will work directly with Senior Policy Executives, contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects.
In this program, you will:
• Gain hands-on experience with real-life projects within the Public Policy Organization.
• Develop both professionally and personally through meaningful work and exposure to various aspects of the field.
• Learn from senior policy executives and be part of a professional team.
• Analyze the business and policy environment and contribute to policy campaigns.
• Participate in policy discussions, forums, and hearings on Capitol Hill.
• Conduct research and prepare memoranda on issues under review by the Administration, federal agencies, and Congress.
• Assist in creating and implementing communications plans for internal and external audiences.
• Become familiar with and participate in Verizon’s corporate responsibility initiatives.
• Learn about the future of the tech industry and help showcase Verizon through stakeholder engagement activities.
• Develop your professional network and refine your written and oral communication skills.
The program is a hybrid internship based in Washington, DC with a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or JD program in Public Policy, Business, or a related major.
• Expected completion date between December 2025 and June 2027.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
• Willingness to work in Washington, DC.
