About the Role
As a Property Maintenance & Inspection Specialist, you will be a crucial part of our team, ensuring the high standards of property condition and tenant satisfaction that 36 North Properties is known for. You will be responsible for conducting thorough property inspections, identifying maintenance needs, coordinating repairs, and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to proactive property management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of properties under management to assess their condition and identify any maintenance or repair needs.
- Document inspection findings accurately and thoroughly, including photographs and detailed notes, using relevant software.
- Communicate inspection results to relevant stakeholders, including property owners, tenants, and internal management teams, in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate effectively with maintenance staff and external contractors to address identified issues and ensure timely and quality repairs.
- Maintain up-to-date and organized records of all inspection reports, work orders, and related documentation.
- Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance plans to minimize future property issues and extend asset lifespans.
- Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries and concerns from property owners and tenants regarding property conditions and maintenance requests.
Qualifications & Desired Skills
- Previous experience in property management, real estate, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with standard office software and the ability to quickly learn new property management/inspection applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to accurately identify maintenance issues, potential safety hazards, and areas requiring improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with property owners, tenants, and team members.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and specialized software applications relevant to property assessments.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required for travel between properties.
