Job Description

Job Title: Project Operations Intern
Division: Outage Services Division
Location: San Antonio, TX (This is an in-person internship)
Work Schedule: 20-30 hours per week
Duration: Fall 2025, with a possibility of continuation through 2026.
Compensation: Paid at $21/hour.
Credit-Bearing: This internship can be credit-bearing.
Team: The intern will support the Operations Technology team.
Overall Goal: To offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and business administration within a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities and Opportunities:
As an intern supporting the Operations Technology team, the individual will have the opportunity to:
Workflow Documentation and Automation: Assist team members in documenting existing workflows and identify potential automation solutions using tools such as Power Automate and Excel macros. This provides firsthand experience with these technologies.
Technical Data Management: Support in updating and standardizing technical equipment data sheets. This involves ensuring accuracy and proper maintenance within the Internal Library, developing a keen eye for detail in the process.
Operational Documentation Support: Help maintain documentation and information crucial for operations and field teams. This support extends to activities during site operations and the preparation of job closure documents, offering insights into real operational processes.
Digital Tool Adoption and Training: Aid field teams in accessing and utilizing digital tools. This includes creating user training materials and offering hands-on assistance, thereby supporting tool adoption, reducing IT support requirements, and expanding communication and technical skills.
Operational Efficiency Projects: Participate in projects specifically focused on increasing operational efficiency, minimizing process delays, and enhancing data visibility across various platforms, including SharePoint, CRM, and Epicor.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside engineering, quality, and operations colleagues. This collaboration involves gathering feedback, testing new tools, and contributing to technology updates, providing valuable experience in cross-functional teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
Education: Must be an undergraduate student majoring in engineering or technology data analysis.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Excel and Power Apps.
Location: Must be residing in the San Antonio area.
