Entry-Level Project Manager | Epic

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Epic, located in Madison, WI, centered on implementing software that is crucial for saving lives and significantly improving patient care. Epic, a prominent leader in healthcare technology, builds comprehensive software solutions utilized by the world’s leading and top-ranked health systems, including major institutions like Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins. This Project Manager position is vital for driving impactful projects, leading critical software installations across the US and potentially internationally, and ensuring the successful adoption and ongoing support for healthcare organizations joining the Epic community. By enabling healthcare providers with cutting-edge tools, this role directly contributes to enhancing patient outcomes and the delivery of quality care on a global scale.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Drive impactful software implementation projects specifically designed to improve patient care within healthcare organizations.
• Software Implementation: Lead comprehensive software installations as part of a dedicated team, travelling across the US and potentially internationally to ensure the success of new Epic community members.
• Executive Engagement: Utilize project management skills to effectively present project status, strategies, and solutions to hospital leadership.
• Training Coordination: Coordinate all aspects of end-user training to ensure healthcare providers are fully prepared and proficient when going live with Epic software.
• Go-Live Support: Provide comprehensive, hands-on support and guidance to healthcare providers during critical go-live periods for Epic software installations, ensuring smooth transitions and successful adoption.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in any academic major. Candidates must demonstrate a consistent history of academic and professional success, indicating strong potential for growth and achievement.
• Experience: This is an entry-level position; therefore, no prior software experience is required. The role focuses on developing project management capabilities within the healthcare technology sector.
• Skills: Possess fundamental project management skills, with the ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences, coordinate complex tasks, and provide dedicated support in high-stakes environments.
• Bonus:
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, ranging from 25-60% of working days, which typically involves 1-2 trips per month, each lasting 2-4 days.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
• Commitment to relocate to the Madison, WI area, with financial relocation assistance provided by Epic.
• Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination status.
