Host Guest is a U.S.-based startup (launched in 2024, officially registered in Georgia in 2025) connecting students and cultural travelers with verified host families across the United States. The platform aims to provide safety, trust, and a sense of belonging, particularly for international and out-of-state students. Currently preparing for launch in August 2025, the platform is fully developed and undergoing final refinements. The company employs a team of 20+ interns across various departments (marketing, design, product, outreach, and operations).

Job Description: Project Management Intern

Host Guest is seeking a Project Management Intern to support the company’s overall coordination and internal workflow. Reporting directly to the Project & Operations Lead, this role acts as a strategic assistant, tracking progress, organizing team deliverables, and following up with key departments. This is a highly cross-functional role ideal for someone who thrives in structured environments, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to learn the dynamics of a startup’s pre-launch to live transition. The intern will be crucial in maintaining organization, meeting deadlines, and supporting all teams in task execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Tracking & Management: Track and maintain project plans and task lists in Asana. Help create and update timelines for key team deliverables.
Team Progress Monitoring: Check in with interns weekly across departments to ensure task progress. Escalate blockers or delays to leadership constructively.
Meeting Support: Support internal meeting preparation and follow-up (notes, reminders, action items).
Documentation & Reporting: Organize shared documents and weekly update reports. Help maintain calendars and scheduling for multi-team collaborations.
Team Assistance: Provide structure and assistance to team leads across product, tech, marketing, and outreach.

Qualifications:

Location: Must be based in the United States.
Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
Education: Currently studying or recently completed a degree in business, operations, or communication.
Software Proficiency: Comfortable using Asana, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Slack.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work Style: Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
Bonus: Experience with remote teams or managing multiple timelines simultaneously.

Compensation & Internship Structure:

Hours: 15 to 20 hours per week.
Work Arrangement: Remote position.
Dates: May 14 to September 6, 2025.
Stipend: Base stipend of $500 for the full internship.
Bonus: Additional bonus of up to $500 based on company growth and final launch performance.
Long-Term Potential: High-performing interns may be offered long-term roles following launch.
