Job Summary

The firm is seeking a Project Designer / Junior Architect who is eager to take an active role in all phases of design and project delivery. This role offers direct exposure to all phases of project delivery and client interaction within a collaborative and supportive small-firm culture. The ideal candidate will be technically strong in Revit, comfortable coordinating with consultants and contractors, and motivated to grow into a project management role or licensed architect position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of industrial and commercial projects from concept through construction.
  • Produce and coordinate detailed Revit models and construction documents.
  • Work closely with engineering consultants to integrate architectural and technical systems.
  • Support project management tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and client communication.
  • Participate in construction administration, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.
  • Collaborate with the studio team to maintain design quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Contribute to firm standards, templates, and best practices in Revit and project coordination.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems and construction documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with MEP and structural consultants.
  • 2–5 years of experience in an architectural firm.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to take on increasing responsibility.
  • Licensed or on the path to architectural licensure preferred but not required.

Work Environment

  • Workplace Type: Fully Onsite
  • Location: Birmingham, AL
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $31.25 – $43.27/hr.
