The Tone:
This is a contract-to-hire role through Actalent for a growing design firm based in Birmingham, AL, specializing in industrial, commercial, and manufacturing facility design throughout the Southeast. The firm delivers efficient, high-quality architecture through creativity, collaboration, and technical excellence. As part of a close-knit studio, this role is crucial for contributing to all phases of project delivery, working directly with firm leadership, engineers, and contractors. The ideal candidate is eager to take an active role in projects from concept through construction and is motivated to grow into a project management role.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design & Development: Develop industrial and commercial projects from concept through construction.
• Documentation: Produce and coordinate detailed Revit models and construction documents.
• Coordination: Integrate architectural and technical systems by collaborating closely with engineering consultants.
• Project Support: Support project management tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and client communication.
• Construction Administration: Participate in construction administration, including reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in an architectural firm, with proven experience coordinating with MEP and structural consultants.
• Skills: Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and a strong technical understanding of building systems and construction documentation.
• Bonus: Licensed or actively pursuing architectural licensure, along with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
