Project Accountant | Suffolk Construction

The TL;DR

• Mission: This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting for projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Process the monthly owner requisition.
• Compliance: Ensure subcontractors comply with contract terms and billing procedures.
• Adjust: Process budget updates and cost transfers as needed for projects.
• Manage: Select invoices to be included in the weekly disbursement cycle.
• Support: Monitor and track the cash position of the project, assisting the Corporate Risk Manager with Contractor Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP) administration.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another relevant field, preparing for an early career in project accounting.
• Experience: 0-3 years of related experience in accounting or financial tracking.
• Skills: Ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles, coupled with Suffolk’s core values of Passion, Integrity, Hard Work, Professionalism, and Caring.
