Project Accountant | Ledcor

• Mission: Ensure accurate and timely entry and reporting of financial data to support project teams and leadership with critical financial insights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Management: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, subcontractor payments, and payroll, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
• Cost Control & Tracking: Implement and manage effective project cost control systems, including interpreting contractual and commercial terms, monitoring equipment usage, tracking rental agreements, and ensuring compliance for subcontractors.
• Reporting & Billing: Prepare and submit comprehensive LEM reports, progress billings, invoices, and holdback releases, while also coordinating essential invoicing documentation like statutory declarations and compliance certificates.
• Financial Analysis & Support: Deliver accurate cost reporting and provide strategic financial insights to leadership, supporting project managers with change orders, payment resolution, and crucial month-end journal entries.
• Data Integrity & Compliance: Validate third-party invoices, reconcile electronic billing with client systems, and collaborate closely with project teams and management to guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all financial data.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-Level experience in operational cost accounting.
• Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an operational cost accounting role.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, working knowledge of construction accounting principles and methods, and strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Bonus: Experience within commercial construction or Telecom, knowledge of JD Edwards or similar large ERP systems, and financial acumen regarding equipment utilization, rates, equipment capital decisions, and profitability analysis.
