Program Manager – Central Radiology | Northwestern Medicine

The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in leading critical planning and implementation activities for Northwestern Memorial HealthCare. This position is essential for ensuring that strategic initiatives are developed, managed, and executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, directly contributing to the achievement of the department’s strategic goals and objectives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Leads planning and implementation activities for Northwestern Memorial HealthCare initiatives, ensuring alignment with the department’s strategic goals and objectives.
• Resource & Budget Management: Develops and manages project budgets, allocates resources, distributes information, facilitates meetings, and reports on overall performance for assigned projects.
• Methodology Application: Applies standard project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, verification, and value measurement definition.
• Stakeholder Communication: Establishes and executes effective communication mechanisms to ensure continuous exchange of project status, ideas, and developments among team members, NM Executives, and vendor partners.
• Operational Oversight & Risk Mitigation: Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, actively working to minimize exposure and risk while preparing and reviewing deliverables for leadership approval.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in a relevant program or project management role, coupled with strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Skills: Demonstrated project management and organizational skills; proven analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent oral and written communication skills; and the ability to effectively establish and maintain productive working relationships with peers and constituents at all organizational levels.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Healthcare Administration (MHA) preferred; required in place of the specified work experience.
