Intern, Finance | Harbinger

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Harbinger, located in Garden Grove, CA. Harbinger is an American commercial electric vehicle (EV) company focused on transforming the industry by developing best-in-class EV platforms for medium-duty EVs and Hybrids. This role is critical as it supports the company during a production ramp and product launch phase, helping to build scalable financial processes, improve data visibility, and automate manual workflows. This position is for a student who enjoys working with data to create clean, repeatable processes and improve factory operations through financial insights.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $25–$35 hourly
• Team: Production Finance team, partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Material Planning, and Logistics.
• Mission: Improve how a factory runs through better financial insights by building scalable processes and automating workflows.
• Tech Stack: NetSuite, Google Sheets, NSAW (NetSuite Analytics Warehouse)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Support financial reporting and analysis for manufacturing, quality, material planning, and logistics functions.
• Model Development: Assist in building and maintaining production-focused financial models, including labor cost tracking, inventory movements, and freight analytics.
• Process Automation: Identify manual workflows and design scalable, automated solutions for various financial processes and data tracking.
• Data Integrity: Improve data integrity and repeatability by standardizing inputs across systems like NetSuite and Google Sheets.
• System Support: Support the Production Finance team in utilizing and enhancing financial systems, planning models, and reporting tools.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Work authorized in the United States or ability to obtain J-1/F-1 visa. Comfortable working with data using Google Sheets or Excel.
• Skills: Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently. Enjoys improving processes and building structure.
• Bonus: Currently pursuing or completed an MBA or other related Master’s Program. Python knowledge is highly desirable. Prior internship or work experience in finance, analytics, operations, or engineering. Strong interest in manufacturing, operations, and data-driven problem solving.
