Job Description
This role is for a Product Manager Intern within the TikTok Search team for global markets, targeting an internship in 2025.
Team Introduction:
The TikTok Search team is dedicated to enhancing the user experience and increasing user awareness of TikTok’s search functionality. Product Managers in this team are expected to collaborate with global functional teams to explore and expand the boundaries of TikTok search.
Internship Program Details:
The internship program at TikTok aims to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. It offers a blend of social events and enriching development workshops. Interns will apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios to build a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.
• Duration: The program runs for 12 weeks.
• Start Dates: Internships begin in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must commit to one of the following start dates:
• Monday, May 12
• Monday, May 19
• Tuesday, May 27 (Memorial Day May 26)
• Monday, June 9
• Monday, June 23
• Availability: Candidates able to commit to these dates will be prioritized. Applicants are requested to state their availability (Start date, End date) clearly in their resume.
• Application Limit: Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions across TikTok and its affiliates globally. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early application is encouraged.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for TikTok Search scale and user awareness growth.
• Deeply understand users’ content consumption and search demands, and create new products and search recommendation strategies accordingly.
• Combining user research, data analysis, business status, and other techniques to discover new opportunities for the product’s growth.
• Work together with international teams, manage both internal and external resources, and actively coordinate with product operations, algorithms, and other relevant departments to efficiently promote and guarantee excellent project execution.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree or above (computer, information technology, data science, and other related majors are preferred).
• Possess strong problem-solving and data-analysis abilities, as well as the ability to encourage product development based on data analysis.
• Possess a strong sense of logic and creativity, excellent communication abilities, and a desire to improve.
Compensation & Benefits (Campus Intern):
• Hourly Rate: The hourly rate for this position in the selected city is $35 – $35.
• Benefits: Interns receive day one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, and more. They also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in the first half of the year, 40 if hired in the second half of the year).
