About the Role

As a Product Manager for Core Platform Services, you will be instrumental in defining and driving the strategic direction, roadmap, and execution for the foundational components that power our entire product ecosystem. You will work at the intersection of technical innovation and business value, ensuring our platform capabilities meet the evolving needs of our customers and enable rapid development for internal product teams. This role requires a blend of technical depth, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to align diverse stakeholders and deliver world-class platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and articulate a clear product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for core platform services, aligning with overall company objectives and architectural principles.
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and internal stakeholder interviews to identify critical platform needs, pain points, and growth opportunities.
  • Translate strategic goals into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Prioritize features and initiatives based on business impact, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment, effectively managing the product backlog for multiple scrum teams.
  • Collaborate extensively with engineering, architecture, UX/UI, data science, and other product teams throughout the entire product lifecycle, from discovery and design to launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for platform services, user adoption, and system health to inform iterative improvements and future development.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for the core platform, communicating updates, plans, and performance to internal stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Foster a culture of platform thinking and API-first design across product and engineering organizations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on platform, infrastructure, API, or B2B SaaS products.
  • Proven track record of successfully defining, launching, and iterating on complex technical products that deliver measurable business value.
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams on architectural decisions, technical trade-offs, and implementation details.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions regarding product development and prioritization.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and aligning diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Experience with microservices architectures, event-driven systems, and cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with data platforms, analytics, and machine learning infrastructure.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
  • Prior experience as a software engineer or architect.
