What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Strategy: Define the clear vision, actionable goals, and measurable success metrics for the digital products and services under your management.
• User & Business Insights: Collaborate deeply with designers, business analysts, and technical leads to discover and synthesize comprehensive market research, user needs, business requirements, and technical feasibility.
• Project Leadership: Establish the strategic direction, scope, and priority of projects, overseeing initiatives from high-level concepts down to specific features, user stories, and key business metrics.
• Cross-functional Delivery: Work closely with diverse cross-functional teams to develop, test, and ship projects, actively measuring product progress towards business goals and translating data insights into actionable improvements.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Proactively socialize, iterate on, and build strong consensus and buy-in for all product initiatives with internal teams, government partners, and other external contractors.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, combined with a demonstrated focus on Product Management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience: At least three years of experience as a Product Manager leading a cross-functional team, including proven success in running or shipping consumer web applications.
• Skills: Proven ability to generate strong product plans and build consensus with internal teams, government partners, and contractors; excellent written and verbal communication for technical, user experience, and project management trade-offs; strong bias towards action and capability to structure plans in ambiguous situations, executing with incomplete information through product instincts; ability to define product objectives and logically reverse-engineer paths to achieve them, adapting plans based on market trends; an adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, and positive mindset.
