Job Description: Product Management Intern
This 12-week internship (starting May 27th or June 23rd, 2025) is a hybrid position based in Sunnyvale, California, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Illumio’s product offerings, with a focus on key technical features like segmentation, visibility, and enforcement.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to produce high-quality video demonstrations of these features, showcasing how they address real-world customer challenges.
• Develop and maintain a centralized video library of technical demos for both internal teams and external prospects. Ensure videos are easily accessible and navigable, providing on-demand demonstrations.
• Explore Illumio’s advanced technical capabilities and their applications in real-world security scenarios.
• Translate complex technical concepts into engaging and understandable content for diverse audiences.
• Work closely with marketing and sales teams to identify high-demand product demos and prioritize their production.
• Gather feedback on existing demos and refine them to better meet customer needs and use cases.
• Observe how Illumio’s technical features are demonstrated to various audiences, ensuring the value proposition is clearly communicated.
• Assist in improving demo content to highlight the most compelling aspects of Illumio’s solutions and enhance overall presentation and messaging.
Experience:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Network Security, Marketing, or a related field.
• Strong interest in network technologies, security, and operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS) and their interaction with network security technologies.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, understandable content.
• Ability to quickly understand and articulate complex technical concepts related to network security and product features.
• Curiosity and a desire to learn about Illumio’s technology and the cybersecurity challenges its products address.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating technical information clearly and concisely.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content.
Compensation: $37 USD/hour (Note: This is a pay range guideline, not a guaranteed salary. Actual compensation depends on various factors). A range of benefits are also offered, varying by location.
