Job Description: Product Development Engineer

ProAmpac is seeking a detail-oriented, self-starter, critical thinker with a Chemical or Packaging Engineering degree to join their team as a Product Development Engineer. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of work experience and will be responsible for supporting two sites.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, testing, and execution of products in growth programs.
• Design, control, and analyze experiments to evaluate changes to current products caused by changes to materials, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure that the results of experiments are documented and published.
• Lead/support product commercialization projects, including project justification and launch process for assigned product lines.
• Provide guidance and assistance to the Quality Department staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience
• 2-4 years of technical service, process control, quality engineering, product development, or other related technical and/or manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Packaging Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of adhesives, barrier properties/technology of materials, and lamination processes.
• CAD or SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
• Experience with FDA requirements and ISO standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams, and Outlook.

• Product Design Experience

• CAD Software (AutoCAD, Solidworks)
