Job Description: Product Design Graduate Intern

Sigma is seeking graduate students passionate about cloud computing for a Product Design Graduate Internship. This role focuses on enhancing Sigma’s visual identity and the interplay between its brand, product, and design system. The intern will be a part of a full product experience team, collaborating with product and visual designers, user researchers, and content writers.

Responsibilities:

• Work on Sigma’s visual identity, encompassing typography, illustration, motion, and iconography.
• Own projects from concept to delivery, collaborating with engineers and fellow designers.
• Collaborate with product management, user research, customer success, and support teams to gather user feedback and improve product adoption and utilization.
• Create simple, elegant designs that enable business users to explore data and generate insights.
• Receive mentorship from experienced product designers.

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a Graduate degree (HCI, Graphic Design, or similar) graduating in December 2025 or June 2026.
• Located in the U.S. and able to work full-time (40 hours/week) in San Francisco HQ between June and August/September 2025.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. during Summer 2025 (student visa accepted, but sponsorship unavailable).
• Demonstrable understanding of design thinking and research methodologies.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Portfolio showcasing breadth and depth in visual design, UX, interaction design, and research methodologies; demonstrating design process and iterations, business problem-solving, and the fulfillment of project objectives and user needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

• hourly rate: $50.00/hour
• Relocation bonus (where applicable)
