The Federal Reserve Board (Board) offers internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students interested in careers in economics, finance and accounting, information systems, and data analysis. Job Description: Graphic Design Intern

This paid internship provides valuable work experience for students. The intern will support audit and evaluation teams by translating data and information into compelling visuals for reports and other communication channels (website, social media, etc.). Responsibilities include:

Data Visualization: Creating infographics and visuals to translate complex data and technical text into easily understandable formats (charts, graphics, etc.).
Design & Publication: Designing and publishing content for various external products (publications, outreach materials) and internal communications (digital signage, intranet).
Branding: Ensuring all designs adhere to and extend the organization’s branding guidelines.
Collaboration: Working with audit and evaluation teams to understand their needs and create effective visuals.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent visual stylistic sense (balance, tone, placement).
Infographics and data visualization skills.
Graphic design experience in digital and print media.
Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Animation and web design skills are a plus.

Preferred Majors/Minors: Graphic design, art, branding, or related fields.

Additional Information:

Location: Remote, in-person, or hybrid in Washington, D.C., depending on the candidate’s location.
Hours: Maximum 40 hours/week during the summer; 16-20 hours/week during the school year if extended.
Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required.
Graduation: Students must be graduating spring 2026 or later.
Salary: $25.58 – $39.42 per hour. The internship may be extended at the manager’s discretion.
