Product Deployment Engineer, gTech | Google
The Tone:
This is a role at Google, a company dedicated to creating products and services that improve the world. As a Product Deployment Engineer within gTech Ad GCS, you will be a critical advisor to Google’s customers. Your work will bridge the gap between customer needs and gTech Ads engineering capabilities, ensuring the full potential of Google products is realized through high-impact solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of service offerings, strong customer engagement, and the ability to translate complex needs into scalable product strategies and technical specifications.

• Mission: Act as the strategic bridge between customer requirements and gTech Ads GCS’s enabling capabilities within a specific product area.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Evaluate: Partner with regional sales, product leads, and clients to assess technical maturity, identify custom solution opportunities, and channel field feedback into core engineering roadmaps.
• Translate: Convert complex client requirements into scalable system architectures, robust integration strategies, and prototype-backed technical requirement documents.
• Codify: Develop standardized deployment playbooks and frameworks to enable scalable, vendor-executed delivery of intricate workflows.
• Architect: Design durable data pipelines and CRM integrations using the Google Ads API while ensuring full compliance with global privacy regulations.
• Oversee: Manage implementation alongside cross-functional delivery teams, stress-testing solutions with real-world validation data to guarantee reliability before rollout.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience with a focus on troubleshooting technical issues, system design, or code review.
• Experience: 3 years of experience in troubleshooting technical issues for internal or external partners or customers; demonstrated experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python); and experience building proof of concepts using web/scripting technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Python, etc.) and SQL databases.
• Skills: Technical troubleshooting, system design, code comprehension (Java, C++, Python), web/scripting proof-of-concept development (JavaScript, Python), SQL database proficiency, and the ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
• Bonus: A Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or an Applied Science field; 5 years of experience in project management, analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies; 5 years of experience in operations management (e.g., process improvement, operational reviews, workflow optimization); 5 years in a customer-facing role; and an understanding of advertising technologies, APIs, and data integration.
