Job Description: Procurement Internship Program

The Procurement Internship Program at BD is designed to improve BD’s procurement leadership base by recruiting entry-level associates who aspire to become procurement leaders. The program aims to develop and expose Procurement Interns to multiple functions and business units, broadening their procurement experience. BD is committed to hiring talent who align with its core values and are expected to be strong performers upon graduation.

As a Procurement Intern, individuals are given the opportunity to make an impact through their team involvement, project management, and interactions with leaders. BD provides interns with meaningful work experiences, mentoring, networking activities, and exposure to the benefits of working at the company.

Intern assignments will vary based on business needs but will generally include projects in the following areas:
Spend analysis
Project management
Corporate and category support
RFI (Request for Information) activities
Supplier management activities
Risk Mitigation

At the conclusion of the internship, interns will present their overall accomplishments to the Global Purchasing Leadership Team.

Qualifications:
• Applicants must be currently enrolled students at a college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Expected graduation date must be between December 2026 – June 2027.
• Majors preferred include Business, Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or related fields.
• Required skills and abilities include leadership, teamwork, quantitative analysis, negotiation, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and a strong drive for results.
• Candidates should possess the ability to learn quickly, deal with ambiguity, take initiative, and achieve results.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
Proven organization and time management skills are also required.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction as to duration. BD is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas at this time.

Logistics and Compensation:
• The Procurement Interns will start on Monday, June 1, 2026.
• The position is based at BD’s Global Corporate Headquarters in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
• The role requires a minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week.
• The salary range for this position is $23.96 – $33.54 USD Hourly. The actual rate offered will depend on factors like experience, education, skills, and location.
