Job Description: Private Equity Internship

Role Type: Remote, Unpaid Private Equity Internship.
Duration: 10-12 weeks.
Time Commitment: Approximately 12–15 hours per week.
Target Audience: Undergraduate and Master’s students pursuing degrees in finance, economics, or related fields.
Nature of Program: Purely educational, with no promise of future employment. The company is willing to provide necessary paperwork for students to earn school credit.

Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
• The role is primarily research-first.
Data Mining: Interns will mine databases and public filings.
Market Analysis: Responsibilities include sizing markets, tracking transaction multiples, and mapping competitors.
Diligence Compilation: Interns will compile diligence packets that directly inform live investment decisions.
Deal Sourcing Exposure: Interns will have the opportunity to shadow a Senior Associate on the business-development team. This involves coordinating with middle-market investment banks, providing a “front-row view” of deal sourcing and capital-raising conversations.

Key Success Factors:
• Solid understanding of accounting and corporate-finance fundamentals.
• Fluent spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to extract meaningful insights from market research.
• Discipline to meet deadlines in a remote work environment.

Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a BA, BS, or MS in Finance, Economics, Business, or another quantitative field.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial statements, valuation multiples, and core corporate-finance concepts.
• Proficiency in Excel and data tools.
• Sharp research abilities.
• Clear, lean communicator comfortable with asking questions.
• Self-starter mentality, capable of meeting deadlines in a fully remote work environment.
• Ability to coordinate and set hours with the management team via Asana.
