• Mission: Lead the planning, design, implementation, prototyping, and verification of wireless technology projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Technical Projects: Technically manage Research and Development projects and programs, including setting and tracking development schedules.
• Design Systems: Take responsibility for overall system design and requirement specification for wireless technologies.
• Develop Technology: Participate hands-on in the design, simulation, and verification work for new wireless solutions.
• Oversee Testing: Supervise relevant simulation, software, FPGA, and testing efforts to ensure robust system performance.
• Drive Business Growth: Contribute to Research and Development business development and capture efforts, including whitepaper and proposal preparation, and customer engagement.
• Supervise Engineering Teams: Lead and manage a team of engineers, participating in job description drafting and candidate screening.

The Must-Haves
• Background: M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field such as wireless communications, signal processing, networking, or RF design.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in the design and development of wireless systems, with 5 years of demonstrated technical project leadership, and participation across the complete technology development cycle from design to field testing.
• Skills: Expertise in wireless system design and development; technical project leadership; proficiency in simulation and prototyping software including C/C++, MATLAB, and Python; deep understanding of radio frequency propagation, channel modeling, and digital communication; knowledge of wireless ad-hoc mesh networking, medium access, and routing algorithms; and familiarity with signal processing algorithms such as MIMO, OFDM, and beam-nulling.
• Bonus: Experience with cognitive radio in congested spectrums, interference mitigation, radio frequency sensing, signal detection, and classification; strong technical writing, proposal preparation, and technical presentation abilities.
• Other: Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
