Job Description: Pre-Sales Engineer (PSE) – Business Applications
RSM US LLP seeks a dynamic Pre-Sales Engineer (PSE) to primarily accelerate growth within their Business Applications practice. The PSE will serve as a functional expert for the Finance function, focusing on Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions.
Position Summary:
The Microsoft PSE is responsible for driving project solutioning. This involves collaborating with sales and delivery teams to ensure proposed projects accurately address client needs and effectively support key decision-makers. A significant responsibility is achieving revenue quotas, combining the expectations of the business development team and the practice. The sales territory is national, with flexible work-from-home options available.
Responsibilities:
• Lead pursuits as the functional architect, prioritizing efforts to maximize team impact as directed by Practice Leaders or the Sales Director.
• Proactively scope solutions to meet customer requirements, gain prospect consensus, assess needs, and recommend value-optimizing solutions for both prospect and firm.
• Secure input from all necessary solution stakeholders within both the customer and the firm.
• Adapt solutions to ensure appropriate support.
• Coordinate with business development and delivery resources to align solution design with customer business requirements.
• Demonstrate software to address concerns and generate enthusiasm for implementation.
• Provide coaching and professional development for junior resources.
• Maintain strong relationships with the Microsoft channel team, partner technology specialists, and partner sales executives.
• Stay updated on Microsoft product developments and incorporate them into demonstrations and narratives. Communicate changes to consulting and business development teams.
• Assist in developing go-to-market sales strategies and marketing content (whitepapers, videos).
Accountabilities & Performance Measures:
• Achieve assigned productivity quotas.
• Maintain project throughput in early deal-sales process steps.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings meeting company standards.
• Complete required training and development objectives within deadlines.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience presenting software solutions (B2B) to middle market/strategic customers.
• 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Sales/Customer & Field Service and Power Platform capabilities.
• Proven achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales role.
• Product certification, engineering credential, or equivalent technical credential.
• Up to 80% travel may be required.
Compensation: $142,800 – $253,000 (plus discretionary bonus)
