This role is crucial for directly impacting students’ academic success and deepening their understanding of Pre-Calculus by providing customized, one-on-one instruction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide personalized 1-on-1 online instruction to students in Pre-Calculus through the Live Learning Platform.
• Guide students through advanced functions (polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric), analytic geometry including conic sections, and vectors, matrices, sequences, series, and limits.
• Analyze function composition, inverses, and transformations, while also assisting students with graphing complex functions, solving trigonometric equations, and understanding series convergence.
• Adapt instruction using graphing technology, visual representations, and scaffolded problems to address common student challenges and bridge knowledge for calculus readiness.
• Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features, enhancing impactful teaching and saving prep time.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of advanced functions (polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric), proficiency in analytic geometry including conic sections, parametric and polar equations, and expertise in vectors, matrices, sequences and series, and limits.
• Experience: Skilled at analyzing function composition, inverses, and transformations step-by-step, and guiding students through graphing complex functions, solving trigonometric equations, working with vectors and matrices, and understanding series convergence.
• Skills: Ability to effectively explain function behavior, asymptotes, discontinuities, and common student challenges like rational function graphing or limit concepts, emphasizing mathematical reasoning and real-world applications.
• Skills: Capacity to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles, using multiple approaches and preparing students for calculus concepts and AP examinations, complemented by strong communication and an engaging teaching style.
