Polaris Powertrain Engineering Internship

This 12-week paid internship is designed for sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in a career in the powersports industry. It’s specifically tailored for future leaders who thrive in a culture of innovation, passion, and collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

• Impactful Projects: You’ll work on projects directly aligned with Polaris’ business objectives, gaining exposure to various facets of engineering.
• Skill Development: You’ll build key powertrain skillsets in areas like design, development, manufacturing, quality, and testing.
• Personalized Goals: You’ll receive projects tailored to your interests and the company’s needs, contributing to important company initiatives.
• Collaboration: You’ll work with the Powertrain Team to design, develop, and implement engineering projects.
• Problem Solving: You’ll drive continuous improvements and solve engineering roadblocks.

• Community Engagement: You’ll be invited to volunteer alongside your fellow interns.
• Final Presentations: You’ll present your career aspirations and internship experience.

Potential Internship Locations:

• Wyoming, MN (30 min north of the twin cities)
• Roseau, MN
• Osceola, WI
• Other locations

Career Opportunities:

This internship serves as a feeder program for Polaris’ rotational leadership development program. Exceptional interns may be offered a returning internship or a full-time position.

Selection Process:

• Applications open from September – December 2024.
• You’ll participate in a MS TEAMS panel interview with an HR business partner and functional leader.
• Upon acceptance, you’ll work with the Early Talent team to match you with your specific intern role/project, team, and location based on your skills and interests.
• Relocation assistance is offered to interns who qualify, including a lump sum payment and relocation counselor support.

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Graduation date between December 2024 – May 2027.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• 12-week commitment (40 hours per week) during May 19th – August 8th, 2025, or June 2nd – August 22nd, 2025.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and leadership.
• Ability to contribute to personal and company goals through creative thinking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with engines.
• Completed at least two years of university coursework.
• Previous internship/co-op experience.
• Previous leadership experience.
