Plant Accounting Intern | PIM Brands, Inc.
The Tone:
This is a paid Summer 2026 internship at PIM Brands, Inc., located in Somerset, New Jersey. PIM Brands is a snack and confectionery company known for beloved brands like Welch’s® Fruit Snacks, Sun-Maid® Chocolate Covered Raisins, and Sour Jacks® Sour Candies. This internship offers college students the chance to gain hands-on accounting experience within a manufacturing setting, contributing to the financial operations behind these well-known products. Interns will work in a collaborative environment, making an immediate and lasting contribution to the company’s growth.

• Mission: Support the financial operations of the manufacturing site by preparing entries, analyzing variances, and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Prepare journal entries for month-end close procedures.
• Perform: Perform variance analysis on selected accounting accounts.
• Reconcile: Reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
• Review: Review purchase requisitions for proper general ledger coding.
• Verify: Verify journal mapping in preparation for an SAP system upgrade.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Rising Senior in college/university, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better; must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week summer program, from June 1st, 2026, through at least August 7th, 2026.
• Skills: Strong analytical ability, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal and organization skills, effective problem-solving skills, and good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: Strong business acumen, demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, self-motivated with a bias for action, demonstrated personal and professional values, and access to local housing and reliable transportation.
