Job description:
The MainStreet Family Care Preceptorship Program in Eufaula, AL, is designed for aspiring physician assistants. It offers hands-on experience and mentorship in a dynamic urgent care setting, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical clinical skills.
Program Highlights:
• Duration: A month or semester long
• Mentorship: Guidance and support from experienced healthcare professionals.
• Clinical Exposure: Exposure to a wide range of patient cases, enhancing clinical skills and promoting critical thinking.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Engage with a collaborative healthcare team including physicians, family nurse practitioners/physician assistants, medical assistants, and support staff.
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in an accredited physician assistant program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Desire to work in urgent care preferred.
• Have an active affiliation agreement•
Application Process:
1. Submit a comprehensive resume and answer the application questions.
2. Qualified candidates will be contacted for a brief phone screening.
3. Following the phone screening, candidates will schedule a 45-minute interview with our Clinic Management team.
4. If selected, candidates will be matched with a qualified preceptor at a clinic near you and contacted with their placement information.
5. Candidates will receive a welcome letter and complete the onboarding process.
