Epic Pharmacy Solution Architect – Digital and Technology Partners-Remote | Mount Sinai Health System
The Tone:
This is a full-time remote role with Mount Sinai Health System, one of the largest academic medical systems in the New York metro area. The health system advances healthcare through outstanding patient care, education, and innovation, addressing complex challenges. This role is crucial for strategically designing, implementing, and optimizing pharmacy technology solutions across the organization. The Solutions Architect will ensure medication management, patient safety, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance are met through technology.

• Pay: $145200–$217875 annually
• Mission: Lead the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of pharmacy technology solutions to enhance medication management, patient safety, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across the health system.
• Tech Stack: Epic Willow, electronic health records, pharmacy automation, inventory management systems, revenue cycle systems, third-party applications, smart infusion pumps, computerized provider order entry (CPOE)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Solution Architecture: Design and architect pharmacy technology solutions across all care settings, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, workflows, patient safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Project Leadership: Lead pharmacy technology projects and strategic initiatives, including planning, implementation, testing, deployment, optimization, and ongoing support activities.
• System Configuration: Execute Epic Willow build activities required for pharmacy technology projects, CPOE, medication administration, and integrated medication management solutions.
• Workflow Optimization: Perform workflow analysis, testing, and validation across medication ordering, verification, dispensing, administration, smart pump programming, documentation, and billing processes.
• Integration & Support: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical, workflow, configuration, interface, and interoperability issues affecting pharmacy systems and medication-use processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, with prior management experience. Core domain knowledge in pharmacy technology solutions architecture.
• Experience: 10 or more years of experience, including Epic Willow Inpatient Certification and practical experience.
• Skills: Strategic solution design, Epic Willow build and configuration, system integration, workflow analysis and optimization, project leadership.
• Bonus: Epic Willow Ambulatory Certification, Epic Willow Inventory Certification, Epic Optime Certification.
