Personal Banking Associate | TD Bank

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at TD Bank, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. TD Canada Trust serves as the frontline of the bank, dedicated to building deep and lasting customer relationships. This position is vital for guiding customers through their financial needs, providing advice, and connecting them with appropriate solutions, ensuring a positive and seamless banking experience.

• Team: Part of the TD Canada Trust frontline team within Personal & Commercial Banking, reporting to management.
• Mission: Guide customers to the appropriate staff member for resolving their financial queries and banking needs, including new accounts, investment advice, and banking solutions.
• Tech Stack: MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), branch software, internet

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Engagement: Engage customers regarding their daily advice needs, service transactions, digital education, and problem resolution related to banking solutions.
• Customer Guidance: Understand customer needs and guide them to the correct contact for appropriate solutions, using good judgment with confidential information.
• Digital Education: Build customer confidence in emerging digital banking trends by educating them on mobile, ATM, and online banking.
• Operational Support: Support frontline staff with scheduled cash and non-cash transactions, resolve critical issues, and report non-standard matters to management.
• Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to work practices, branch operations, and processes to enhance customer experience and achieve operational excellence.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High School diploma with a commitment to obtaining Investment Funds Canada (IFC) or equivalent certification within 90 days of the start date.
• Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience, specifically related to customer interaction or banking.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), knowledge of banking solutions and processes, strong administration, organizational, planning, and time management skills, effective written and verbal communication, and established customer experience skills.
• Bonus: Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree in a related field.
