Job Description: Performance Analysis Intern
Purpose of the Internship:
This internship is designed for an individual to join the high-performance team of the New York Red Bulls Academy. The primary responsibility involves providing analysis support to Academy staff, which is crucial for aiding player development. Additionally, the internship features a weekly workshop series aimed at introducing interns to all facets of a high-performing sports analysis environment.
Compensation and Credit:
This is an unpaid internship. It is offered for academic credit, and applicants are required to provide proof that they will receive credit for the internship from their educational institution.
Availability Requirements:
Applicants must have consistent afternoon and/or evening availability on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Friday, as well as on weekends. Due to the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, assigned hours may vary and will include nights and weekends to meet the team’s needs.
Key Qualifications and Expertise:
• Technical Skills:
• Basic understanding of performance analysis software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Academic Background:
• Currently an undergraduate student studying sports performance analysis, data science, or a related field.
• Personal Attributes:
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge and understanding of soccer.
• Logistical Requirements:
• Must reside within 60 miles of Whippany, New Jersey.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
