Patient Care Customer Service Coordinator | Rotech Healthcare

The Tone:
This is an early career position at Rotech Healthcare Inc., located in Murray, KY with the opportunity to work from home after successful in-office training. Rotech is a national leader in home medical equipment, providing ventilators, oxygen therapy, sleep apnea treatment, wound care, diabetic solutions, and more across hundreds of locations in 45 states. This role is crucial in ensuring patients receive essential equipment and support, directly helping them manage their health comfortably, independently, and actively from home.

The TL;DR
• Role: Early Career
• Type: Full-time (Monday – Friday, scheduled shift within 6am – 6pm; possible 4-day work week with 10-hour shifts)
• Location: Hybrid, Murray, KY
• Pay: $15 hourly
• Mission: This role is responsible for contacting patients regarding equipment delivery, taking orders, verifying patient information, and timely order placement.
• Tech Stack: Online Pharmacy system, standard office equipment (fax machines, copiers, printers, phones, computers/tablets), Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Profiles: Accurately transcribe patient profiles over the telephone, including data entry of information and potential outbound calling.
• Documentation: Obtain all medically necessary documentation required for patient orders.
• Order Processing: Process patient orders efficiently through the Online Pharmacy system.
• Shipping Resolution: Resolve tracking issues and reschedule shipping orders for patients as needed.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot problems based on patient input regarding the scope and/or magnitude of equipment failure.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Required education includes a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Skills: Ability to interpret various forms of communication, capable of performing basic mathematical calculations accurately, and strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bonus: Background in the medical field with administrative record management, experience working with medical equipment, familiarity with medical billing processes and reimbursement procedures, knowledge of medical terminology, and a minimum of one year of related work experience.
