The Tone:
This is an in-store customer service role at O’Reilly Auto Parts. The company provides automotive parts and services to retail and professional customers. This role is crucial for delivering exceptional service and supporting store operations, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and efficient store functioning.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Pay: $15.00–$20.00 hourly
• Team: Reports to store management.
• Mission: To provide high-level service to all retail and installer customers and support store management in assigned tasks.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service: Promptly greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, and provide excellent service to those calling the store.
• Transaction Management: Accurately maintain the cash drawer, process cash, check, and credit card transactions, and handle exchanges and returns.
• Store Operations: Assist with daily image maker, planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, and perform various daily operational tasks like inventory counts.
• Automotive Services: Operate brake lathes and other test equipment, and perform in-store services such as wiper installation, battery testing, and trouble code scanning.
• Deliveries: Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make parts deliveries when business needs require, adhering to company driving eligibility.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A customer service professional capable of managing multiple customer interactions in a retail environment.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service and multitask effectively, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.
• Skills: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences, outstanding friendly and professional customer service, and strong multitasking capabilities.
• Bonus: Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and sales or service; ASE certification; or fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish being highly desired.
