Parts Professional | NAPA
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at NAPA, located at various store locations. NAPA is a parts store and much more, driven to have the best people to get the right parts to the right place at the right time. This role is crucial for ensuring exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on automotive parts, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and operational success within the store environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers via telephone, in the store, or in a dealer’s shop.
• Parts Expertise: Assist and advise customers on how to best meet their needs, often addressing highly technical questions and problems.
• Order Processing: Process customer orders with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and courtesy, looking up parts applications in catalogs or the POS system.
• Sales & Store Support: Implement sales practices, maintain customer satisfaction by securing the right part, and ensure the good appearance of the store and its displays.
• Internal Resource: Serve as a valuable resource for advice to other store personnel, sharing thorough knowledge of products, performance standards, and operating policies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma, or equivalent, required, along with being an ASE Parts Specialist (automotive) certified.
• Experience: Requires thorough knowledge of products, performance standards, warranties, sales programs, and operating policies. Candidates must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers and line codes for proper selection and delivery.
• Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to establish and maintain good customer relations, and enjoyment of working with people in a setting that requires working calmly under pressure. A working knowledge of the city’s service area and the ability to operate a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission are also essential.
• Bonus: Capable of operating TAMS point-of-sale system and cataloging, able to use an adding machine and process cash, check, and credit card transactions, and visually capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers and remembering their sequencing.
