Part-Time Tax Analyst | The Reynolds and Reynolds Company
The Tone:
This is a part-time position at The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, located in Dayton, OH. As a 5,450-person organization, The Reynolds and Reynolds Company is a leading provider of software, services, and forms to automotive dealerships. This role is crucial for ensuring the tax department remains highly organized and on track, managing a significant volume of income tax returns and payments. Your work will directly contribute to the efficient operation and compliance of the company’s tax functions.

• Mission: Ensure the tax department is organized and on schedule for processing a high volume of income tax returns and payments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Schedule Management: Actively organize and maintain the tax department’s schedule to ensure timely processing for a high volume of income tax returns.
• Payment Coordination: Contribute to the department’s compliance by tracking and ensuring the schedule is met for all income tax payments.
• Record Intake: Systematically receive and accurately document various tax records from internal and external sources.
• Request Processing: Efficiently handle incoming tax-related requests, ensuring proper documentation and routing within the department.
• Administrative Support: Execute additional administrative tasks as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the tax department.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level candidate currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar relevant major, providing foundational knowledge essential for tax operations.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of essential office software, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. This role requires the ability to consistently work 18-25 hours per week, with increased availability for up to 40 hours per week during peak summer months.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, a high degree of focus, and proven reliability are critical for managing sensitive tax information. Strong communication skills are also required for effective internal and external interactions, alongside the ability to thrive and collaborate productively within a team-oriented environment.
