Job Description:
The Department of Engineering Data, and Computer Science, in the College of Business, Engineering, and Technology at National University is seeking part-time faculty in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence or potential for excellence in teaching within their field and a dedication to serving the university’s diverse adult student body.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead classroom sessions onsite and/or online.
• Provide substantive and timely feedback to students on assessments.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive student-centric learning environment.
• Complete tasks on deadlines, including final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, and input for grade appeals.
• Maintain professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable.
• Provide feedback to the course lead regarding course content.
• Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
Qualifications:
• Required: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
• Preferred: PhD.
• Required: Industry experience in technical fields of embedded systems, microelectronics, robotics, and VLSI.
• Preferred: Online higher education teaching experience.
• Preferred: Curriculum development experience.
Compensation:
• Hourly: $26.63 – $28.89
