What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Review: Conduct comprehensive document review and analysis to prepare attorneys for trials, hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
• Legal Research: Perform thorough legal research to support case development and legal strategies.
• Discovery Management: Manage all aspects of the legal discovery process, including preparing and responding to discovery requests, organizing materials, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel.
• Electronic Filing: Handle electronic filing of pleadings, motions, and other court documents in federal and state courts.
• Case Management: Oversee case management tasks such as tracking deadlines, maintaining case files, and coordinating with internal and external parties.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Experience: Five years of experience demonstrating proficiency in document review, legal research, legal discovery, electronic filing, and case management, alongside strong knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.
• Skills: Strong organizational abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, proficiency in legal research databases and legal case management software, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Bonus: A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
